In addition to custom woodworking, we are also involved in high-end restoration projects. Boland Woodworking is partnered with a handful of gallery owners and repeat residential clients. From the Federal Period to Post Modern, we carefully avoid excessive repairs mixing new and old materials. All of our repair work and finishing is always done in the spirit of what was originally conceived. Remaining true to the original conceptual finish, we restore the piece’s original intention. Working with either hand rubbed techniques such as French padding, to using “old school” nitro-cellulose lacquers, tung oils requiring multiple coats, we speak all of these languages.  Each period and style requires a unique approach and we have the required responses. 

From 18th century period pieces to the 20th century, our years of restoration have given us the patience for our clients to reap the rewards of bringing these deserving pieces back to life. We are the best, bar none. We believe it and embrace it.
