Brian Boland attended Philadelphia College of Art and went on to apprentice with local cabinetmaker Robert Allen Fellwock. During that time, he built reproduction furniture authorized by the National Park Service with the focus on pieces from Independence Hall, City Tavern, and other local historical sites. In his first years of business, restoration was the focus—learning what works and what doesn’t in construction, along with the study of classical proportions, periods, and styles—moving concurrently with that was custom cabinetmaking and furniture building. He continues to do both today.
Our pieces reside in the most discerning households and public spaces. From museum work to the grand condominium, to the stately grounds of suburban Pennsylvania, we are there.
Brian Boland is also an accomplished director and expert set designer in local theatre. Through theatre, he continues to learn about his work by revisiting different time periods and unusual places.
